Sould I forget about him?

I guess he used to live in my hometown and moved,he added me tho and starts talking to me.he told me I was the prettiest girl he's ever seen and stuff,I was shocked cause nobody says that to me,we started texting and stuff, but he got mad that I didn't text him back and I guess I'm just liking this kid to much...he lives in indiana and I live in Michigan....pluss this one girl wnt Stop talking about him.should I just forget about him? Or at least try? I'm afraid I'm just gonna get Hurt tho...
