Can my home state susend my license after it was suspended by the state I was arrested in?

I was arrested for DUI in Kentucky where I was attending college. I went to court and they suspended my driving privledges for 90 days and I attended alcohol classes, etc. in KY. I got my driving privledges back and Indiana, where I'm licensed, says that they are suspending my license fo another 90 days. Can they do this consecutively? I'm having a difficult time finding out how to get a hardship license in Indiana now as well since my conviction was in Kentuky during the school year.
