How many ml/ oz should my 4 day old be eating? ?

The hospital says only 2 oz every 3 hours he was 8lbs and 11 oz at birth and crys all night we have changed the formula and after his 2 oz he still sucks I'm just not sure! He seems extremely gasy all the time as well though if I fed him more would it hurt or help?
